Am I content? I think I am.

I am content with being single and actually just want to stay that way for a bit. There are so many things God has for my life and right now being single is where God wants me to be and I just really understood that these last two days. I have amazing friends and my family is amazing as well and right now I only want to focus on God and really put him first in my life. I need to grow so much in my walk with God and there are so many things that I still need to give to him. I really believe that God has big plans for me and I just need to give him the reigns...because I have been holding on to them even when I thought I wasn't. This is what I have been thinking about and realizing about myself. I haven't fully understood the power and glory of God. Will I ever understand who God is? Let's compare God to Color. Color is an amazing thing and we only see a fraction of it. We just see the surface, just like an iceberg you can only see the top, but what is under the water is massive. That is the same with Color, we see the colors red, blue, green, yellow, but we don't see infrared, gamma rays, x-rays, radio waves, microwaves, and ultraviolet with our naked eye. It took years of research and innovation to be able to see these other colors and still we have so much to be discovered. Who knows there could be far more colors than we have realized? The same is with God. We can't see God, but we see what he has done and created. We can catch glimpses of God's massive power and overwhelming love at times, but they are always fleeting. The feelings of Joy and overwhelming peace are fleeting. You can never be full of Joy, all the time. The "technology" that helps us to see glimpses of who God is the Bible, prayer, worship of any type, silence, listening, and just looking at what is around you. There are times when I just want to shout with Joy and proclaim about who God is, but sometimes as quickly as it came it goes away. God is complex and simple at the same time, if that makes sense. If we truly saw and knew the total of God's power, we wouldn't be able to stand and would have to look away. This is shown when Moses talked with God first through the burning bush and then later when Moses talk to God in his tent. When Moses walked out of his tent, he was glowing with the radiance of God and the Israelites couldn't look at him. Also there is many places in the Bible where you can see the immense power of God and the book that I really see God's power is in Job. God's response is amazing and just gives a glimpse of everything God can do.

Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said:

2 "Who is this that darkens my counsel

with words without knowledge?

3 Brace yourself like a man;

I will question you,

and you shall answer me.

4 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?

Tell me, if you understand.

5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!

Who stretched a measuring line across it?

6 On what were its footings set,

or who laid its cornerstone-

7 while the morning stars sang together

and all the angels [a] shouted for joy?

8 "Who shut up the sea behind doors

when it burst forth from the womb,

9 when I made the clouds its garment

and wrapped it in thick darkness,

10 when I fixed limits for it

and set its doors and bars in place,

11 when I said, 'This far you may come and no farther;

here is where your proud waves halt'?

12 "Have you ever given orders to the morning,

or shown the dawn its place,

13 that it might take the earth by the edges

and shake the wicked out of it?

14 The earth takes shape like clay under a seal;

its features stand out like those of a garment.

15 The wicked are denied their light,

and their upraised arm is broken.

16 "Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea

or walked in the recesses of the deep?

17 Have the gates of death been shown to you?

Have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?

Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?
Tell me, if you know all this.

"What is the way to the abode of light?
And where does darkness reside?

Can you take them to their places?
Do you know the paths to their dwellings?

Surely you know, for you were already born!
You have lived so many years!

"Have you entered the storehouses of the snow
or seen the storehouses of the hail,

which I reserve for times of trouble,
for days of war and battle?

What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed,
or the place where the east winds are scattered over the earth?

Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain,
and a path for the thunderstorm,

to water a land where no man lives,
a desert with no one in it,

to satisfy a desolate wasteland
and make it sprout with grass?

Does the rain have a father?
Who fathers the drops of dew?

From whose womb comes the ice?
Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens

when the waters become hard as stone,
when the surface of the deep is frozen?

"Can you bind the beautiful Pleiades?
Can you loose the cords of Orion?

Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons
or lead out the Bear with its cubs?

Do you know the laws of the heavens?
Can you set up God's dominion over the earth?

"Can you raise your voice to the clouds
and cover yourself with a flood of water?

Do you send the lightning bolts on their way?
Do they report to you, 'Here we are'?

Who endowed the heart with wisdom
or gave understanding to the mind ?

Who has the wisdom to count the clouds?
Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens

when the dust becomes hard
and the clods of earth stick together?

"Do you hunt the prey for the lioness
and satisfy the hunger of the lions

when they crouch in their dens
or lie in wait in a thicket?

Who provides food for the raven
when its young cry out to God
and wander about for lack of food?
